"Everything must have an end, Like an ocean to the shore, Like a river to a stream. . . It's the famous final scene" - Bob Seger (1978). In parting this class, while my disappointment has been evident within my blogs. . I concur with my colleague Zack. . . This class was basically marketed as a Flash class, which I really wanted to add to my repertoire of computer skills, but in the end I believe the focus from Globaloria's standpoint placed more emphasis on the Wiki's and Blogging than Flash. . . Which led to a very confusing and sometimes very irritating experience.
In Matt's defense. . . I believe that he also wanted to place the emphasis on the Flash as well. . . but was not allowed too. Globaloria should allow the teachers more freedom in teaching the class in their image instead of adhering to a standard "playbook". Cause a standard playbook just will not work for ages ranging from Grade School to the College level. What works for a 10 year old just wont fly for kids 18 to 25. . . Little long a student my age (32).
Blogging and wikiing (Did I just define a new term????) for us students is very redundant, It almost became like we had to do things twice. . . and actually we did! But in meeting David. . . I am confident that he has a good handle on what is going on. . . and will make the necessary adjustments at this level.
But as for me, I'm not a big gamer. . . matter of fact. . . The only thing I play is Madden. . . And I haven't played that since EA bailed on the PC platform in 08. So developing a game was not really a strong point for me. . . but learning Flash. . . to create animations for movie productions would have been. To sum it up. . . Kinda of a Bummer. . .. What could have been. . . What could have been.
